YEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Alright today was tiring.
Anyway let me continue about the job thing.
So we got our uniforms, and went for the last minute training and spot check session.
Stayed there for a while, ate dinner, and went to the GRAND BALLROOM.
We stood in rows of 5. I was the first guy in the row. Zong Qin was behind me. The rest, TBT, Budiman, Don, and Derek formed another line.
The woman said, "Who are first timers?"
A lot of people raised their hands. Then the woman picked some.
Then she pointed towards me.
Good game. I have to serve in an unfamiliar ballroom by myself.
The lady led us to a room. Then some of them were allocated there.
But I wasn't.
She brought me, and 2 girls to another ballroom.
We were allocated there.
Some funny things happened. They say that hotel language is !@#$%^&*, full of vulagarities, and shoutings.
I went to the bar counter, and asked the uncle where is the plain water.
"你没有看到啊？在那边啦，在那边，开眼睛看一下，放冰就变成 ice water liao! 不要像sotong这样啦"
Mind you, this was shouted point blank to my face.
I quickly hurried and walked off.
Walao eh first time do mah, give chance can?
I was serving the shark's fin soup.
That table only had 3 guests, instead of 10.
They said just serve them 3 bowls, and they will take themselves. I said no, if you all still want extra servings you can just take from there.
They said okay. Anyway I am also briefed, to just fill 10 bowls, and don't care whether how many people there is.
Maybe for 好兄弟.
Anyway first time serving, I filled every bowl, but little quantity. Each bowl was about 1/4 full. Then I ran off.
They like kena stunned for a moment. Then they laughed their asses off.
Maybe I too cute la, they ask for 3 bowls full, I serve them ten 1/4 bowl full.
Then a regular went over, and filled those bowls. Then she smiled at me and said, "You ah..."
Then the guy said, "Its not his problem. You failed to guide him." She quickyl apologised, then that guy said that they were just cracking a joke.
That table really damn joker. The guy keep on asking me to get the spiciest wine for the lady. He said he have been searching everywhere but cannot find.
Spiciest wine, I thought what. So it meant the strongest la. I almost added chilli sia.
FWAH I make sure they spicy until spend 3 days in toilet.
Then the lady asked me to get a pepsi for her, even though she had a "orange crush" (think it should be miranda orange).
The guy beside her told me, "Don't be surprised, she just likes talking to you."
I stunned for a moment before replying "Okayy".
Me and my partner were in charge of 2 tables, luckily she was there to guide me. Because I don't know how to serve the noodles, cut the fish, etc.
Actually they taught us la, but I am scared that I will screw up. Especially after that shark's fin soup.
Its fun man, you can kope drinks, and maybe even some souvenirs. But must make sure that those were extras.
Then I carried the oval tray. Its damn heavy. I carried and I staggered back to the kitchen. The thing is, when I reached the door, no one was available to open the door for me. Then I saw a waitress.
She was carrying bowls. Then she said she cannot open the door. While saying that, her hand was shaking around, showing the 'No' sign.
I wanted to slap her face.
Anyway luckily someone from the inside opened the door and we got in.
There was once, that I carried a whole tray, with food on it. Apparently the customers didn't want it anymore. I was so tempted to eat them.
By the way, both tables I served, asked me which school I am from. Which is like omfg maybe they wanna complain.
After the dinner, I koped some souvenirs.
Opened it, and inside were CHOCOLATES MUAHAHAHA.
Inside it, there were 4 chocs, and I koped 5 boxes.
I gave 3 to my partner. 1 lost. I only ate one as I shared with Zong Qin, Derek and TBT, I think.
Was nice by the way.
Then we had to clear the tables and chairs. I was rolling a table happily, then I lost balance and fell. Everyone laughed -.-
Anyway I signed up for overtime, and we had a fifteen minute break, starting at 12am.
Then me and some China guy went to eat. It was buffet style by the way. So I took noodles, rice, and egg, since those were the food left.
Then I checked my phone and saw a lot of missed calls.
Chris told me that our stuff were stolen.
Initially I was like okayy if they wanna steal my worn out slippers and the 3 for 10 bucks slippers, its okay.
But I still went up.
And I got lost, trying to find the security office.
Turns out that only Derek's stuff is intact.
Apparently, his stuff is all the way inside, so people were not able to reach it.
But the rest were stolen.
Turns out that a security guard walked past and helped us kept it, in case people might steal them.
So in the end everyone's stuff was recovered. Phew.
Then they said they were going home. I went up and told my captain that I cannot stay for overtime.
So she signed, and I worked from 4 till 12.30am.
Then I went to find them. Turned out that they were setting the stuff for tomorrow.
So I thought, never mind, help them, although I am already ready to leave.
In the end I stayed for so long, that I was free labour for like 1 hour plus.
Then they say that you have to give your paper to the captain before you leave, if not no pay.
Fuck.
So I went to their captain, and asked her if she can help me submit my paper together, or something. Then I explained that my friends were here so I went here to help.
Then she gave me a weird face, then she cancelled the timing from 12.30am till 2.30 or something.
She seriously rocks.
Then I called my dad, then the transport home was by taxi, because after 12am they provide free transport.
So we can claim money and pay my dad.
Me, TBT, Don, and Zong Qin were allocated the same taxi. Budi wasn't but he sticked with us.
In the end we got a dilema, because my dad's taxi cannot fit in 5 people. (actually more cos got don and budi)
So in the end I went home with my dad, and the four of them took another cab home. Then my dad suggested we eat something, so we went some hawker in AMK to eat, then went to wash the taxi, and went to some ulu petrol station in Yishun to top up petrol.
We kept on changing places because he said that only these places' fares were cheap.
Then we reached home, at 4.30am. Finally slept at 5am.
Anyway, about the attire, we looked like mafia. Derek combed his hair like a 赌神, only missing the cards. Donovan looked funny with his centre parting. TBT looked like Hitler, same side parting. Only Zong Qin and me looked normal.
I look like a weird guy. My shoulders looked very broad. With the shoes I was quite tall. Basically a stick man.
Didn't took a photo, will take it someday.
Went for basketball at Khatib today, waited from 8.30am for the guys. Me and Zhi Kai waited like hell. Budi arrived at 9 plus, TBT at 10. Just nice, when they cleared the tables and chairs, we could play.
The good thing is they didn't remove the tentage, so we played from like 10 plus onwards till 4 plus, inclusive of a lunch break.
Something funny happened, I am going post about it tomorrow.
Got to sleep now, just now I fell asleep while playing NBA live -.-
